Overall, I'm very happy about my low-carbon chicken. I find it tastes even better than oven roasted chicken as the skin is crispy and the meat is tender (sometimes it gets a bit dry when I cook it in the oven). I feel confident that this simple cooking m my Christmas dinner. But I do feel bad about the single-use plastic that I end up throwing in the bin after preparing my meal. If you'd rather have turkey, this method should also work for that option too.
